The Curious Owl was created from a shared belief that creativity should feel accessible, joyful and human, not intimidating or exclusive.
Emma has spent years running creative events, workshops and parties for children and adults, building spaces where people feel comfortable giving things a go (even if they think they’re “not creative”).
Sally brings a calm, thoughtful approach rooted in wellbeing, reflection and emotional awareness, creating space for creativity to support mental wellbeing, not just finished outcomes.
Together, we realised something important:
People need both joy and calm.
And that’s where The Curious Owl really took flight.

Emma is the driving force behind the playful, welcoming energy at The Curious Owl.
With many years of experience designing and leading creative workshops, events and parties for children and adults, Emma has a natural gift for creating spaces that feel organised but relaxed, inclusive without being overwhelming, and fun without feeling chaotic.
She is especially passionate about helping people who think they “aren’t creative” rediscover confidence through making — whether that’s a child trying something new, an adult picking up a paintbrush for the first time, or a team stepping away from their desks to connect creatively.
Emma’s approach combines thoughtful planning with flexibility and warmth. She believes creativity works best when people feel safe to experiment, make mistakes and enjoy the process — and she’s brilliant at gently guiding people to that place.
You’ll usually find Emma leading sessions, welcoming people into the studio, encouraging hesitant creatives, or dreaming up new ways to help curiosity take flight.

Sally leads the mindful side of The Curious Owl, bringing a calm, grounded and deeply thoughtful approach to creativity.
With a background in floristry, education and tutoring, Sally has spent years working creatively with people of all ages, supporting learning, confidence and self-expression in ways that feel gentle and accessible.
She is trained in mindfulness and coaching practices, and is passionate about helping people develop practical skills to manage anxiety, overwhelm and emotional stress.
Her sessions are designed to feel safe, supportive and pressure-free, using creativity as a tool for grounding, reflection and emotional regulation.
Sally believes creativity doesn’t need to be loud or performative to be powerful. Sometimes it’s about slowing down, tuning in, and giving yourself permission to just be.
Sally helps ensure The Curious Owl is a space where creativity supports wellbeing — not perfection — and where people feel genuinely supported as they create.
